Voice and likeness licence
This licence covers every performer whose voice, face or performance is held in the talent bank on IHSStoryflow and used in a studio’s production.
What the performer grants
- Rights window — a start and end date. Nothing may be generated with the voice or likeness outside that window.
- Permitted uses — recorded per talent: likeness, voice, voice cloning, synthetic derivatives and commercial use are each granted or withheld, and the platform refuses a casting that is not covered.
- Productions and territories — the licence names the productions or studios it applies to and the territories of release.
- Languages — the languages in which the voice may be generated, including dubbed versions where granted.
- Credit — the performer is credited as agreed with the studio.
Revocation
A performer may withdraw consent for future casting at any time by writing to us or to the studio. Withdrawal stops new generation immediately; work already produced and released under a valid window is unaffected unless the studio agrees otherwise.
What a studio must hold before casting
- A signed consent covering the permits it intends to use, with dates and territories.
- The consent document uploaded against the talent record.
- Separate consent for voice cloning or synthetic derivatives, where used.
The studio is responsible for the accuracy of what it records. A casting attempted outside the recorded rights is refused by the platform and reported to the studio admin.
What the platform does
We record consent, permits, territories and the rights window against each talent, enforce them at casting, and keep an audit of who cast whom and when. We do not licence a performer’s voice or likeness to anyone ourselves.
